WASS’MUFFIN DJ “WALLY”

Dj Wally grew up in seine-saint denis (93) a paris’ suburb where a lot of third world cultures mix. This cultural background will have a strong influence on Dj Wally’s style.

Indeed the style of Dj Wally is quite original. He mixes mainly music of the caribbean such as (Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Zouk, reggaeton…) but doesn’t hesitate to add in it afro-beats or urban songs such as hip hop, rnb, funky house,dance…

His style, his dynamism and a lots of hard work, quicly impose DJ Wally as one of the best upcoming Djs on the afro caribbean scene.

From 2007 to 2010, he regularly plays in the most famous clubs in Paris clubs such as Astros, Magnum, Boer 2, Claps, Studio 46…. he is also the resident dj of the popular Caribbean pub and lounge ‘Le Carbet’ located right in the heart of Paris. As DJ Wally’s talents and notoriety become more known he found himself being in demand outside of Paris more and more, supporting the famous Jamaican reggae super star ‘Elephant man’ in Lille. Dj Wally is also involved in monthly African Caribbean nights at the Millennium club (Hardelot, France). Dj wally also performs in festivals like for example “SFINKS MIXED” at Antwerpen one of the largest world music festival in Belgium and Europe; or the multicultural festival “Ya D’lA Banlieue dans L’air”where he played 2 years in a row along side famous artists (Alpha Blondy,Johnnny Clegg, Amel Bent…).

By the end of 2010, DJ Wally moved to England to further his education and musical prowess.
Once in England DJ Wally quickly imposes his style in Bristol, playing at the Hypest venues such as Blue Mountain, Warehouse, The Plantation, etc. In this relative short time DJ Wally has contributed to developing the Soca scene in bristol, collaborating with artists like Scrappy. Dj Wally was often found playing in clubs around London and Manchester, becoming the favoured Dj for one of the biggest Caribbean promoters in London: Kreyol Vybz. Through this connection, he has performed at the Colloseum club in front of crowds in excess of 3,000 people during the 7th Edition of the Carnival Jam (Notting Hill Carnival After Party)….

Although settled in England, Dj Wally keeps on mixing in France.
