Jahstorm (Junior Barrington, Feb. 22, 1988) is a Guyanese dancehall and Reggae deejay born at Georgetown Hospital, the first of five children.

Exposed to a wide variety of music from a tender age by his uncles who were  aspiring musicians, every weekend he was treated to new musical offerings on his uncle’s old component set, ranging from @bujuofficial, Culture, @grunggaadzilla and old classic country music.

At 16 his favorites included artists as diverse as Bounty killer, @vybzkartel , @aidonia4thgenna, @allthingsjayz and @2pac, all of whose lyrics he would study word-for-word, performing them later for friends.

Inspired to be a deejay, Jahstorm began writing his own lyrics when he was 17. Eager to flaunt his skills, Junior and his friends frequented the weekly Gong Talent Show at the Murphy Disco, talent exclusive with promoter Limpy J & Kassette Jones Records shop.

Junior aka Jahstorm decided to hone his skills and concentrate on winning over his own community of walse WBD until he was ready for bigger things. With that goal in mind, on weekends he would practice on neighbourhood sound systems where he use to love to freestyle with friends.  In 2006, Junior migrated to trinidad and tobago where he recorded his first official song title “Real man” and many other tracks at Twissline production studio alongside producer/artist Nigel Lopez. (2016)Junior was migrated once again but this time to French Guiana to continue his musical career… SINGLE COMING OUT 13th JUNE 2019.
