The team at DSG are proud to have created a unique event that has made a significant impact on the world’s sporting scene, with 386 teams competing in 2015 and even more expected in 2016. Launched in 2008, Bournemouth 7s is the World’s Largest Sport and Music Festival and takes place every year on the last Bank Holiday weekend in May, attracting over 30,000 sports enthusiasts and festival goers.

A WEALTH of entertainment is being lined up to make this year’s Bournemouth 7s Festival the biggest and best so far.

Around 30,000 spectators are expected to flock to Chapel Gate to watch 5,000 people compete in 400 teams.

Sports this year include the ever-popular rugby, netball and dodgeball with the newly introduced hockey 7s.

The event will take place over the Bank Holiday from May 22-24 and a range of tickets are now available.

Members of the public can chose between day tickets, weekend passes, camping tickets or VIP packages and there is currently an early bird offer.
This year sees the eighth annual festival and organisers hope it will maintain its position as the world’s largest sport and music festival.

“Away from sport, live music arenas will be returning this year and a full line-up of acts will be announced soon,” said a spokesman.

“Festival-goers will have access to ten separate live arenas. The Bournemouth 7s Festival has firmly cemented its place in the sport and festival calendar.”

Celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment are expected to join the crowds. Recent years have seen visits from former England rugby captain Lewis Moody, pictured, and fellow stars Danny Care, Jamie Roberts, Alex Cuthbert and Ugo Monye.

England netball stars Pamela Cookey and Geva Mentor are also regulars.

Details of tickets and early bird offers are available at bournemouth 7s.com
